A family coffee and skate shop has secured $3.5 million in renovations and upgrades to the Bates Family Home in Brampton.
The project is part of a $5.9 million modernization plan that includes a new lobby and lobby floor, a new kitchen, a fresh coat of paint and a new paint job on the front of the house.
It is part a project that includes adding a new walkway, an elevator and new stairs.
The new building, completed in 2016, will be used by the Bates family for outdoor events.
The home is located at 524 Bayshore Avenue, Brampton, Ont.
The Bates family will continue to operate the cafe and shop, Bates said, while the renovation project is complete. “
We have been able to complete these upgrades as quickly as possible, which is a testament to our team of professionals, who are working together to provide this home with a top-notch, new look.”
The Bates family will continue to operate the cafe and shop, Bates said, while the renovation project is complete.
The building was originally constructed in 1986.
The Bates Café and Lounge will close in 2021, and will be demolished.
A statement from the Bates house said renovations are “an integral part of our family’s legacy of family friendly hospitality, and a cornerstone of our heritage.”
